Welcome to Simple Shutter Photography!
After an exciting launch and several months of enjoyable co-working, half of Simple Shutter has moved on… to open Simple Shutter down south! So sadly, I’ve said goodbye to Lori Boyd, my wonderful partner, and have become a solo act.
I am Rachel Howell- originally from the Minneapolis area, educated in Chicago, IL, and transplanted to Nebraska’s good life in 1995. After years of inflicting the pain of my obsession upon my husband and children (or anyone else that has dared come near!), I now recruit new victims through Simple Shutter Photography. (Really- it is all pretty painless.)
Simple Shutter Photography specializes in natural light, on-location, candid photography.
Simple Shutter does not strive for the perfectly posed, forward facing portrait. (Unless, of course, that’s what you want!)
Photo sessions are never rushed, but relaxed and fun. Our style of photography is designed to reflect who you are, rather than what works according to traditional photography standards.
Your Simple Shutter session will normally look more like a day in your usual life (around the house, at the park, etc.) than a day at the photo studio. Think of us as your personal paparazzi…in a good way, of course! We find this candid approach, when children (and parents) are unaware of the camera, allows us to capture the best images……while people are being themselves.
